Warda Ferdous
I’m a Product Designer with extensive experience in creating meaningful experiences and delightful products that enhance user’s lives. Over the years, I have honed my skills as a detailed-oriented problem solver who thinks critically and confidently applies best design practices to improve people's experiences and make a positive impact in the world.

With my expertise spanning Product Design, UX strategy, Research, Interaction Design, and Visual Design, I possess significant experience in shepherding products from concept to launch. My approach is rooted in empathizing with user insights, as I continually seek user validation while embracing collaboration and feedback. I thrive in dynamic environments, comfortable working alongside agile teams, and adept at collaborating with other members of the design and development teams, as well as key stakeholders.

When I'm not immersed in the world of design, you'll likely find me wandering the mountains of Vancouver with my camera in hand, capturing moments of awe-inspiring landscapes and natural beauty. Alternatively, I'm often found planning for my next adventure, eagerly anticipating the next destination to explore. Feel free to check out my visual journal to get a glimpse into my perspective and travels.

Design Process

The creative method of creating a solution to a problem can be a maze. That’s why I follow the Double Diamond model in my design process.

DOUBLE-DIAMOND-2

Double Diamond Model

It is a creative method of creating solution to a problem. The two diamonds represent a process of exploring an issue more widely or deeply (divergent thinking) and then taking focused action (convergent thinking).
Double Diamond design model has four stages:
  1. Discovery
  2. Definition
  3. Development
  4. Delivery
DISCOVERY
The objective of this stage is to identify and contextualize the actual problem or opportunity. It involves speaking and spending time with people and understand the pains, gains and opportunity.
DEFINITION
The insights collected from the previous stage helps define the challenge in a different way.
DEVELOPMENT
This stage encourage to give different answers to the clearly defined problem, seeking inspiration from elsewhere and co-designing with a range of different people.

DELIVERY
The last stage involves testing out different solution of the product, rejecting those that will not work and improving the ones that will and finally hand-off the design to developers.
